Common Questions

Quick answers, honest ones.

Septic system basics

An aerobic system uses oxygen-loving bacteria, an aerator, and a chlorinator to treat household wastewater on-site. Texas requires licensed maintenance for these systems — call us and we'll walk you through how yours works.

Help! My alarm is on

Don't panic — most alarms indicate a fixable issue (high water, aerator, or chlorinator). Silence the audible alarm if you can, avoid heavy water use, and call us. Repair estimates are free.

How often should I add chlorine tablets?

Most homes need septic-rated chlorine tablets added every 4–6 weeks, depending on use. Never use pool chlorine — it's chemically different and will damage your system. Ask us at your next inspection.

I've lost my homeowner's manual

No problem. Give us your address and the make of your system and we'll get you a replacement copy or walk you through the basics in person.

Trouble logging into my Auto-Tracts account

Call us during business hours and we'll reset your access. Your maintenance contract is never at risk because of a login issue — we keep records on our end too.

I need a new septic system — where do I start?

Start with a phone call. We'll review your lot, water use, and county requirements, then handle the permit application, design, install, inspection, and coverup as a single project.
